205 North Quay Completes on Brisbane Riverfront

205 North Quay has been officially unveiled in Brisbane, marking the completion of a landmark commercial tower designed by REX, HASSELL and Richards & Spence. Positioned on the Brisbane River, the 73,000 m² workplace development redefines the contemporary office tower through its climate-responsive design, expansive public realm and distinctive façade. Central to the building’s identity is a bespoke elliptical external shading system that moderates solar gain while preserving transparency and river views, creating a highly efficient and comfortable workplace environment. The project establishes a new benchmark for subtropical commercial architecture, combining environmental performance, occupant wellbeing and architectural expression in one of Brisbane’s most significant recent developments.
