Pittsburgh International Airport Receives 2026 Prix Versailles Recognition

Pittsburgh International Airport has been recognized by the 2026 Prix Versailles as one of the World’s Most Beautiful Airports, joining a select group of aviation projects celebrated for excellence in architecture, innovation, and sustainability. Designed by Gensler and HDR in collaboration with Luis Vidal + Architects, the new terminal creates a distinctive passenger experience through expansive glazing, abundant natural light, and strong visual connections to the surrounding landscape. As façade consultant, we worked closely with the project team to develop a high-performance building envelope that advances the project’s architectural and environmental goals while addressing energy efficiency, occupant comfort, durability, and constructability. The award underscores the project’s success in combining design excellence with technical innovation.
