New Museum Expansion Opens to the Public

The New Museum’s highly anticipated expansion by OMA and Corgan/Cooper Robertson officially opens on March 21st, marking a major milestone for contemporary art in New York City. Designed as a distinct yet connected counterpart to the museum’s original SANAA building, the new seven-story addition doubles gallery space while enhancing circulation, transparency, and public engagement through a layered glass and metal mesh façade. As façade consultants, we are proud to have contributed to a project that balances performance, material expression, and urban presence—supporting a bold new architectural identity for one of the city’s leading cultural institutions.
