Sweetbird North: A New Landmark for Miami Design District

Sweetbird North is a mixed-use development by Snøhetta in Miami’s Design District, characterized by a layered façade incorporating a stainless-steel mesh screen that contributes to both environmental performance and architectural expression. The double-skin envelope is designed to mitigate solar gain while establishing a distinctive identity for the building within its urban context. Our scope included facade consultancy, supporting the design development, technical coordination, and integration of the building envelope to meet the project’s architectural, structural, and performance requirements. Construction is scheduled to begin later this year, with completion expected in 2028.
