The Lindemann Performing Arts Center Wins Gold at the iF Design Awards
The Lindemann Performing Arts Center at Brown University has received a prestigious Gold Award at the iF Design Awards, recognizing the project’s exceptional architectural innovation and technical execution. Designed by REX and completed in 2023, the 100,000-plus square-foot facility is defined by its radical flexibility, with a main performance hall capable of transforming into five different configurations for music, theater, dance, and experimental media. The building’s distinctive fluted aluminum façade and transparent “clearstory” band visually connect the interior creative activity with the surrounding campus and community, establishing the center as a new hub for interdisciplinary performance and collaboration.
