The Lindemann Performing Arts Center at Brown University / 2023

ArchitectRE X

The new 94,500 ft2 (8,780 m2) performing arts center at Brown University was designed with a radical, one-of-a-kind approach to spatial, acoustic and technical flexibility. The main hall provides five different configurations for experimental media performance, recital, end stage, symphony orchestra with 625 seats and flat floor. The fluted aluminum panels on the facade will change in appearance as the light changes through the day and seasonally.
The building also has smaller performance space, rehearsal spaces and practice rooms which serve as academic resources to students.
