Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art Unveils Transformative Campus Expansion

Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art has announced a major expansion of its campus in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. The approximately $100 million project will transform the institution through the addition of a new 40,000-square-foot museum building designed by Kengo Kuma & Associates in association with Schwartz/Silver Architects Inc., alongside significant renovations to the historic Mill building and an expanded 325-acre public preserve designed by Field Operations. Conceived as a series of wood-clad pavilions integrated within the surrounding landscape, the new museum building will expand gallery space and strengthen the connection between art, architecture, and the Brandywine Valley environment. Front is serving as facade consultant for the project. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2027, with completion targeted for 2029.
