Théâtre Maisonneuve

Montreal, QC, Canada
Architect
Atelier Tag et Neuf Architectes en Consortium

Théâtre Maisonneuve is a theater in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, located within the Place des Arts complex. Originally built in the 1960s, the theater is currently undergoing a facade repositioning. The exterior cladding will be replaced, along with the entrance and facade on Sainte-Catherine Street.

The project encompasses three primary facade zones: the street-level storefront, the plaza-level storefront, and the Theater Tower (Piano Nobile). Front’s scope includes upgrading the aging precast facade at the Piano Nobile while preserving its original architectural character, as well as modernizing the storefront systems to enhance activation along both Sainte-Catherine and Saint-Urbain streets. The plaza area serves as the public interface of the cultural complex, with facade improvements aimed at increasing durability and environmental performance while presenting a clear and well-maintained appearance in a high-traffic setting.

Front’s scope of work encompasses precast concrete walls, UHPC walls, all exterior glass systems, including curtainwall systems, storefronts, exterior doors, glass railings, and other exterior opaque cladding systems.
