UCLA Gayley Heights Apartments is a new 301,980 sf, 17-story high-rise student housing facility at the southern end of UCLA campus. The facade is composed of glazed curtain wall, as well as FRC and terracotta rainscreen cladding systems arranged strategically to foreshorten the building to better blend with the low and mid-rise buildings in the area. The material palette, massing, and granular detail works together to create a building that acts as a refined, yet demure gateway to the campus.
