Rigor Hill Recreation Center
The project is a recreation center for a private residence in upstate New York, covering approximately 7,500 sq ft. The structure includes a pool, a ground-floor gym, and support spaces. It features a custom floor-to-ceiling glass and steel façade system with no vertical mullion and silicone bonded corner, maximizing transparency. The main entrance features double-height glazing with kiss transom bonded to the glass to create the 20 ft seamless look over the doorway. All of the custom glass doors are aluminium sliding and pivoting doors. The skylight system is an aluminium and glass capture system to allow ample natural light into space. The roof is a painted aluminium standing seam roof with exposed interior galvanized decking. The design ensures coordination between the glass and mechanical systems to prevent condensation in the pool area. All of the interior glazing is a floor-to-ceiling mullionless glass system to maximize transparency.
Front’s scope included the frameless exterior glass wall systems, interior glazing, metal roof systems, and skylights, as well as the insulated metal panel wall systems and flat roof of the support space. Front consulted on the project from schematic design through construction administration.
