This large residence, on the East End of Long Island, treads lightly on the landscape. Most of the living space is elevated above the dunes, preserving the native ecosystems. Additionally, passive and active solar systems are integrated into the design, reducing the building’s overall energy footprint. Front consulted on all glazing systems throughout the building from schematic design through construction administration. These systems included the custom shed roof skylights as well as the window wall systems.
