Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV, USA
Architect
KPF - Kohn Pederson Fox Associates
Executive Architect
Adamson Associates

Formerly the MGM Mandarin Oriental, the hotel became the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas in 2018.

To achieve a unique architectural identity at this location, a custom unitized curtain wall was chosen to enclose this new 1,200,000 ft2 (111,500 m2) 60-floor hotel and residential tower, which resides within the larger planned CityCenter complex. The curtain wall consists of approximately 40% glazed vision panels, 20% opaque fritted spandrel glass, and 40% anodized aluminum. At the ground level, the storefront system is a stick-built steel system with field-applied silicone. Additionally, ship-lapped galvanized titanium is used near the entrances and at the exterior columns. Front consulted on all façade systems throughout the building from schematic design through construction administration, including the unitized curtain wall lobby, retail and banquet hall façades, sky lobby glazing, glass balustrades, titanium rain screen, stone panels, and perforated folded aluminum parking garage cladding.
