This single-family residence, on the south shore of Long Island, subtly arises from the landscape as a series of minimal horizontal volumes. Front collaborated on the design for the floating glass box at the second level. One wall of this glass enclosure is completely operable and opens out to the roof garden terrace in a bi-fold manner, each hinged glass panel rotating and sliding to the side.  Front contributed to the design throughout schematic design and design development before taking a design and coordination role for the fabrication, delivery and installation of the glass box.
