712 Fifth Avenue Lobby

New York, NY, USA
Architect
KPF

The lobby of 712 Fifth Avenue, a mixed use highrise in midtown Manhattan originally built in 1989, underwent a significant transformation by incorporating a sinuous glass entrance to lighten the formerly dark reception area of the tower.
Front actively collaborated on the project, contributing to the entire process from Schematic Design through Construction Administration. Front developed, analyzed, and detailed the entire undulating glass lobby. The resulting system is uniquely characterized by its curved laminated glass sheets and frameless appearance.
