Front’s Marc Simmons to deliver Lecture “Material and Light” at McGill University’s Peter Guo-hua Fu School of Architecture

The lecture will take place on Tuesday, November 18th at 6:00 PM, in Room G-10 at the Peter Guo-hua Fu School of Architecture, 815 Sherbrooke Street West, Montreal.
Marc Simmons, founding principal of Front, a global façade engineering and design consultancy based in New York, will present a lecture titled “Material and Light,” sponsored by Luxtec. The talk will examine the design and phenomenology of how natural and artificial light manifest within architectural facade materials, and how these luminous interactions inform perception, atmosphere, and spatial experience. Drawing from Front’s broad material practice and multidisciplinary approach, Simmons will discuss the synthesis of technical precision and experiential intent that informs the firm’s work across diverse architectural contexts.
